Keeping our bathtub clean is not one of the easiest things to do even if we clean it every day. Soap scum can be very stubborn and seems to build up very fast in a bathtub surface. one area that is the most difficult to clean is the non-skid bottom since it is design to be slighty rough to prevent you from slipping. You say I clean that bathtub every day and I can't seem to keep it clean!! What to do ?? Relax, there are easy methods and techniques that anyone can apply.
To begin go to a supermarket or home depot near you and buy the following items:
1. A pair of rubber gloves
2. A heavy duty sotch brite pad
3. Zep Shower, Tub & Tile Cleaner ( spray on bottle)
4. Zep No-Scrub Mold & Mildew Stain Remover ( spray on bottle )
5. A large sponge
Now armed with your new weapons you can wage war against what seems to be an impossible task of cleaning your bathtub!
First you put on your rubber gloves, then you spray on the Zep shower, tub & tile cleaner and immediately start wiping it down in a circular motion all over the bathtub. Do this for several minutes until all the grease, dirt and soap scum is dissolved and then rinse it out with water using your sponge.
A word of caution: DO NOT spray on the Zep solution and let it sit. This may cuase the acidic base in the solution to eat away at the surface of the bathtub causing it to become permanently stained. Just spray it on and begin wiping it down immediately until clean, and then rinse out immediately with water.
For tougher stains and hard to remove mineral deposits and mildew use the Zep No-Scrub Mold & Mildew Stain Remover using the same procedure outlined above. You can use these same techniques to clean your wall tiles, sinks and toilet bowl. Happy cleaning!
